We are searching for an experienced Project Ecologist to join a well-respected consultancy specializing in Civil Infrastructure, Waste & Resource Management, and Renewables. You will work closely with a team of experts located across Ireland. With a minimum of 2 years of experience, you will play a key role in the expansion of their Energy and Planning business.
As a Project Ecologist, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting ecological fieldwork and impact assessments following best practices and guidelines
- Preparing ecological assessments and reports, from inception to completion
- Coordinating project deliverables and finding solutions to ecological challenges
- Engaging with relevant authorities and stakeholders
- Liaising with clients and project managers to ensure projects are delivered effectively
- Delivering high-quality outputs within set deadlines
Requirements:
- A level 8 degree in ecology, environmental science, or a related discipline
- Field skills in ornithology with previous experience of conducting surveys for renewable energy projects or similar development projects
- In-depth knowledge of a broad range of ecological issues fundamental to the preparation of high-quality, ecological impact assessments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, while maintaining a high level of commitment to success
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Full clean driver's license
