This is your chance to join one of Ireland's fastest growing consultancies! We are seeking an Ecologist to join our team and contribute their expertise to the delivery of high-quality ecological consultancy services and reports. 

In this role:

  • You will have the opportunity to work on a range of ecological projects and conduct field surveys, particularly bat, habitat, or bird surveys, and draft mitigation to solve ecological constraints. 
  • You will be responsible for collecting and collating ecological field data and drafting Preliminary Ecological Assessments, as well as assisting with project delivery and conducting fieldwork and desk-based work. 
  • You will also identify training needs and attend training as appropriate, and assist with administration and H&S documentation as needed.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in ecology, botany, or a related field
  • Preferably an associate or full CIEEM membership
  • Specialized experience in a particular area of ecology, such as botany or aquatics
  • A survey/handling license for a protected species is preferred
  • Detailed knowledge of wildlife and conservation legislation in Ireland
  • Confident and sociable personality with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong technical report writing skills and experience in project and client management
  • Ability to work under pressure and organize and prioritize workload
