We are seeking a dynamic Project Ecologist to join the team and aid in the expansion of the Energy and Planning business. This is a great opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects in the renewable energy, waste management, and civil infrastructure sectors and develop your career. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and a passion for ecology and environmental science. 

You will be responsible for conducting fieldwork and impact assessment reporting, preparing and compiling ecological assessments, coordinating the deliverables for ecology projects, engaging with relevant authorities and stakeholders, and delivering high quality outputs within set deadlines. You will also have the chance to work as part of a high-functioning team and manage your own workload effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Level 8 degree in ecology, environmental science, or a related discipline
  • Field skills in ornithology, with previous experience conducting surveys for renewable energy projects or similar development projects
  • Ecological field skills, with any specialist ecological expertise being a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of a broad range of ecological issues, fundamental to the preparation of high-quality ecological impact assessments
  • Experience preparing reports such as Environmental Impact Statements or Appropriate Assessments
  • Well-organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
  • Full clean driver's license
