Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a dynamic team in Cork. This role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary office, contributing to a wide range of building and site development projects. Our current portfolio spans various sectors, including Commercial, Residential, Healthcare, Leisure, Industrial, Housing, and Education, serving both public and private clients. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Requirements:

• Chartered Engineer status is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively.
• Proven experience in Structural Engineering design, particularly in delivering projects across multiple sectors.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and structural design software.
• Experience acting as a Project Civil and Structural (C+S) Engineer on multidisciplinary projects, including attending meetings and liaising with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Structural Engineer within multidisciplinary design teams, providing expert input and oversight on all structural aspects of projects.
• Prepare and review project reports, including Planning, Tender, and Construction Stage reports.
• Develop fee proposals and quality submissions for design contracts with both public and private sector clients.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external parties via email and other channels.
• Oversee the preparation of design drawings, ensuring they meet project requirements and standards.
• Undertake the duties of Assigned Certifier and Ancillary Certifier, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Manage the financial aspects of design budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
