Global leading infrastructure consultancy firm is seeking an Associate Director, Renewable Energy to join their expanding renewable energy team. In this role, you will undertake a technical role on projects within their energy business, focusing on the generation, storage, transmission, and distribution of energy in the UK, Ireland, and across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).


Responsibilities:

As Associate Director – Renewable Energy, you will be a senior team member responsible for developing and leading project delivery and maintaining client relationships.

  • Review and generate technical and contractual information from internal and external sources.
  • Liaise with clients, manage project work daily, and ensure delivery within agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary design of renewable energy infrastructure.
  • Respond to technical queries raised by the Site Team.
  • Act as lead verifier on reports including technical feasibility studies and design reports.
  • Direct junior staff and mentor graduate engineers.


Qualifications:

  • BEng (Hons) degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Environmental).
  • Chartered status or actively working towards chartership.


This role, with a strong technical focus, requires candidates to have a background in civil, electrical, mechanical, environmental, or project management in the energy sector, specifically in renewable energy systems, demonstrating a high degree of technical competency.


Experience leading projects in one or more of the following:

  • Hydroelectric design – both run of river and pumped storage.
  • Onshore wind – ideally with recent onsite experience, including projects with turbines >180m tip height.
  • Offshore wind.
  • Solar PV.
  • Green hydrogen.
