B Lab UK and the B Corp movement

B Lab UK is part of an international nonprofit network that creates economic systems change through standards, policies, tools, and programs for business, and certifies companies—known as B Corps—who are leading the way.

B Corps are companies that go through the B Impact Assessment tool and are verified by B Lab to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. 

Moreover, B Corps legally commit to consider the impact of their decisions not just on shareholders but on all stakeholders, including workers, customers, communities, and the environment.

B Lab UK leads economic systems change to support our collective vision of an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy. Our purpose is to redefine success in business through building a community of engaged businesses, raising awareness of the B Corp Movement and influencing change in the UK economy. 

The B Corp movement is a global movement of people using business as a force for good. Globally, there are now over 10,000 B Corps, employing over 1 million people in 100+ countries across 160+ industries with 1 unifying goal: to build an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economic system for all people and the planet.

Today, the UK is home to more than 2600 Certified B Corps, with over 153,000 employees. The growing B Corp Community of businesses that provide leadership by demonstrating their commitment to people and the planet.
